Anomaly Archives is a passion project my brother and I created. Together, we built a fictional universe through a website and trading cards.

About

What started as childhood storytelling became a collaborative world-building project. My brother illustrated the creatures, while we co-created their lore, stats, and identities. I designed the website as a digital archive, presenting each anomaly as a documented sighting, alongside a collectible card game and its packaging.

Process

My focus was on designing an immersive and intuitive experience that blended illustration, narrative, and interaction. Drawing inspiration from espionage and government secrecy, I crafted an interface that feels like uncovering classified information.

To maintain consistency across touchpoints, I extended the same visual system and color palette to the trading cards and packaging. Each card’s mechanics were designed to reinforce the creatures’ lore, connecting storytelling with gameplay.

Outcome

This project strengthened my collaborative and experience-design skills while turning a personal idea into a tangible product. We printed and shared the final designs with classmates and friends, and the project helped my brother grow his audience as interest in the universe expanded.
